CWP Energy are delighted to have supported Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity (SWCC) with a donation of £1,000 to support their Christmas toy Appeal.
SWCC grant wishes to sick, terminally ill, and disadvantaged children across Scotland. For families in need, Christmas can be a difficult time of year as they seek to provide the best for their children. In 2021, the charity distributed over 400 gifts through their Christmas Appeal; this year, their fifth Christmas appeal, the number will now soar to over 1,000 gifts.
CWP Energy’s grant of £1,000 will specifically cover the purchasing of 40 gifts, ensuring that 40 children receive a present on Christmas Day, when before they may have gone without. In these difficult economic times, it is more important than ever to ensure children can experience a joyful Christmas. In addition to their impactful festive appeals, SWCC have established discreet food banks within organisations and nurseries, and they welcome 50 families annually to their caravan in Ayrshire for relaxing holidays.
Diane Wood, Director of ESG at CWP Energy, said: “We are so pleased to provide support for Sunshine Wishes this Christmas, having supported them previously during the Covid-19 pandemic and past Christmas appeals. The impact of their incredible work cannot be understated. We wish them all, and the families they assist, a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!”
Linda Ford, General Manager of SWCC, said: “”Thank you to CWP Energy for your continued support and generous donation of £1,000 to Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity! Your contribution has made a significant difference for many children and their families who would otherwise have gone without this Christmas. Please know that you are making a real, measurable impact in the lives of those facing challenges during these difficult times.”
