CWP Energy is celebrating another major milestone at Sanquhar II Wind Farm with the arrival of the project’s 200th turbine component. The achievement highlights the strong progress being made across the site and follows the recent completion of all 44 turbine foundations, keeping the project firmly on track as construction advances towards the next stage.
The successful delivery programme has been made possible through the close collaboration of project partners, contractors and specialist logistics providers, ensuring components continue to arrive safely and efficiently as construction progresses towards the next phase of the project.
Once complete, Sanquhar II Wind Farm will play a vital role in strengthening the UK’s renewable energy capacity, helping to support energy security while contributing to the country’s net-zero ambitions.
Rod Wood MBE, Managing Director of CWP Energy, said:
“The delivery of the 200th turbine component is a significant milestone for the Sanquhar II Wind Farm project and demonstrates the tremendous progress being made on site. Every delivery represents the dedication, planning and teamwork of everyone involved across the project.”
“Following the completion of all 44 turbine foundations, reaching this latest milestone brings us another step closer to generating renewable energy for homes and businesses across the UK. We would like to thank our contractors, suppliers and logistics partners for their continued commitment and professionalism throughout the construction phase.”
Sanquhar II Wind Farm continues to generate substantial economic benefits for the local area through employment, supply chain opportunities and community investment initiatives, while supporting Scotland’s transition to a low-carbon energy future.
With turbine component deliveries continuing and construction progressing well, CWP Energy looks forward to achieving further milestones in the coming months as the project moves towards energisation.
