CWP Energy is proud to reflect on another year of important community investment delivered through our Sanquhar Wind Farm Community Fund, managed by the Upper Nithsdale Community Trust. Our commitment to supporting local organisations, strengthening community assets, and enabling long-term social value has continued to grow, this year marked by several impactful grants across Upper Nithsdale.
This year’s funding has contributed to improvements at key community sports facilities for Kello Rovers FC received £29,128.94 toward stadium and playing field renovations, helping maintain an important local venue for sport and community gatherings.
A further £26,340 was awarded for the refurbishment of the changing rooms and lockers, enhancing the club’s facilities for both players and visitors.
Funding also supported local schools in marking important milestones and continuing valuable work. Kirkconnel Primary School to support its centenary event, celebrating 100 years of education and community contribution. The Sanquhar Academy Parent Council with ongoing projects that benefit pupils and strengthen the school’s resources. The Crawick Multiverse Trust Ltd we supported for the core costs and community employment, supporting the continuation of cultural, environmental, and engagement activities at a significant local asset.
