CWP ENERGY is currently developing solar photovoltaic (PV) schemes, transforming the sun’s energy into usable electricity. Utilising PV technology alongside our wind turbine generators, and at independent sites, will help to ensure that there is a consistent and reliable supply of clean energy across the UK throughout each year.

Battery Storage

The implementation of a co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will allow excess energy to be stored during times of high wind speeds and low electricity demand. This stored energy can then be called upon to make up for periods where the demands exceed generation during periods of lower wind speeds. This ensures that greater flexibility and the UK’s energy network is always ready to keep up with demand, as well as increasing the wind farm’s efficiency.
