CWP Energy is delighted to announce the success of its recent Dalry Open Day, which welcomed more than 1,000 visitors from across Scotland and beyond.

The event brought together residents, families, community groups, project stakeholders, partner organisations, and businesses that have worked alongside CWP Energy throughout the development journey. The Open Day provided a valuable opportunity for visitors to learn more about the project, meet the team behind it, and engage directly with the organisations contributing to its delivery.

The strong turnout reflected the significant interest in the project and highlighted the importance of community engagement and collaboration. Visitors enjoyed a range of exhibits, information stands, and activities designed to showcase the project and the partnerships that have helped bring it to life.

The day also celebrated the many local businesses and suppliers involved in supporting the event. Attendees enjoyed food prepared using locally sourced produce, including burgers supplied by Stalkers Butchers and bread buns from Irvines Bakery, alongside a selection of locally made cakes and refreshments.

Several organisations, contractors, local businesses and community groups who have worked closely with CWP Energy over the years attended the event, providing visitors with an insight into the breadth of expertise, collaboration and local involvement that underpins the project. Exhibitors and stallholders included Dalgarven Mill, the local Angling Society, Mecco Candles, Vary from Music Folk Club, the Scouts, Dalry Thistle, Dalry Community Sports Club, North Ayrshire Food Bank, J.W. Innes, Men’s Shed, She Shed, Irvines Bakery and Stalkers Butchers.

Catherine Wood, Office Manager & Events Organiser from CWP Energy said:

“We’ve been doing this for over 20 years now, and it’s become a real highlight in the calendar. Seeing so many familiar faces return year after year, alongside new visitors and families, is incredibly rewarding. The Open Day is all about opening our doors, sharing what we do, and celebrating the strong relationships we’ve built with local communities, businesses and partner organisations. To welcome more than 1,000 people to Dalry this year was truly fantastic, and we’d like to thank everyone who helped make the day such a success.”

CWP Energy remains committed to maintaining open dialogue with local communities and stakeholders as the project progresses and looks forward to continuing to work closely with partners and residents in the years ahead.
