6 Vestas V90 turbines, generating 18MW, consented in 2003 by North Ayrshire Council and commenced operation in June 2006. This was CWP Energy’s first onshore wind farm project and was the first wind farm in the UK to install 125m to tip wind turbines.

Community Involvement and Local Funding

The annual community benefit funding from Dalry Wind Farm enables CWP ENERGY to provide a full time Educational Ranger, who works closely with local schools within our host communities.

Our Ranger and BeGreen Dalry provide support and funding for local organisations and charities, local schools and also work closely with the North Ayrshire Foodbank.
