15 Vestas V100 turbines generating 30MW, was granted planning permission in June 2012 by East Ayrshire Council. Following the recommencement of construction works in 2022, the turbines were operational in 2024.
Of the £75 million invested to develop and build Sneddon Law Wind Farm, approximately £24.5 million was awarded in contracts to over 17 Scottish companies who worked on the construction of the wind farm. This ranged from civils works to fencing, security, plant hire, concrete supplies and electrical works. A further £6 million was also invested in Scotland via grid connection costs for the project.
Our portfolio of over 3 GW embraces more than just wind power, as we advance further into solar, battery and green hydrogen. Our interactive map features our operational and consented schemes, and those currently in planning.
