Caple Rig is a 31 turbine scheme located 8km north of Langholm and 8.5km south of Teviothead in Dumfries and Galloway.
The tip heights of the 31 turbines range from 180m to 250m, and there will be a co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on site. The BESS will regulate the balance of supply and demand on the grid via instructions from the National Grid.
A Scoping Report for the project has been submitted to the Energy Consents Unit (ECU) in order to seek a Scoping Opinion from the Scottish Ministers.
