Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

CWP Energy Ltd is committed to leading by example in the renewable energy sector. Our mission is to generate clean, renewable energy through wind power whilst upholding the highest standards of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

We recognise that our operations impact the environment, local communities, employees, and other stakeholders. This CSR policy outlines our commitment to sustainable development, ethical business practices and positive contributions to society.

Environmental Responsibility

1. Sustainable Energy Production – We are dedicated to producing renewable energy that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to global efforts against climate change and the race to meet net zero targets. Our wind farms are designed and operated to maximise efficiency and minimize environmental impact by using the latest technology and innovation. In addition to wind energy projects, we are also exploring other renewable energy technologies such as solar and energy storage. We have planning permission for two energy storage projects which will be collocated at two of our operating wind farms.

2. Biodiversity and Ecosystem Protection – We assess the environmental impact of our projects and take necessary measures to protect local wildlife, habitats and ecosystems.

This includes conducting thorough environmental impacts assessments before the development of new projects and implementing measures to mitigate any potential harm.

3. Waste Management and Pollution – We aim to minimise waste and prevent pollution in all our operations. This includes managing resources efficiently, reducing the use of hazardous materials and promoting recycling and reuse practices across all of our facilities.

Community Engagement

1. Local Community Support – We are committed to building strong relationships with local communities. This involves regular consultation, transparent communication and ensuring that our operations bring tangible assets and benefits to the communities in which we operate, such as job creation and infrastructure development.

2. Education and Social Initiatives – We will support educational programs related to renewable energy and sustainability and engage in social initiatives that enhance the quality of life in local communities.

This includes funding community projects such as solar panels on village halls to reduce energy bills, supporting local schools to educate the next generation about the importance of renewable energy and sustainability in the fight against climate change for a brighter future for everyone.

3. Fair Compensation and Land Use – We will ensure that landowners and local residents are fairly compensated for any land use or disruptions caused by our operations. This includes ensuring that any agreements are made transparently and equitably.

Economic Responsibility

1. Local Employment and Procurement – Wherever possible, we will hire locally to our head office and at our wind farm operational sites. We will source material and services from local suppliers to contribute to the economic development of the regions where we operate. We aim to provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of our workforce.

2. Long-Term Economic Contributions – We are committed to ensuring that our renewable energy projects provide long-term economic benefits to the regions in which they operate including payment of Community Benefits going

forwards of no less than £5,000/MW of installed capacity per annum along with contributing to local taxes, investing in local infrastructure and creating legacy assets for future generations.

3. Ethical Supply Chain – We will work with suppliers and contractors who share our commitment to ethical practices, including environmental sustainability and social responsibility including anti-slavery and bribery policies.

Health and Safety

1. Employee Well-being – The health, safety and well being of our employees are our top priority. We provide safe working conditions, promote a healthy work-life balance and offer wellness programs to support our employees physical and mental health.

2. Safety Standards – We will adhere to the highest safety standards in the operation and maintenance of our operational assets. We ensure that all employees attend regular training and risk assessments are conducted to ensure the safety of our employees and contractors.

At CWP Energy Ltd we believe that generating renewable energy is not just about providing power but about powering positive change in the world. Our commitment to CSR is at the core of our business strategy and operations,

guiding us to be a responsible and ethical leaser in the renewable energy industry in the UK.
