CWP Energy is expanding its portfolio with battery energy storage projects, co-located with our operational wind farms to increase the scale and efficiency of our green energy generation.
The implementation of a co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will allow excess energy to be stored during times of high wind speeds and low electricity demand. This stored energy can then be called upon to make up for periods where the demands exceed generation during periods of lower wind speeds. This ensures that greater flexibility and the UK’s energy network is always ready to keep up with demand, as well as increasing the wind farm’s efficiency.
Our portfolio of over 3 GW embraces more than just wind power, as we advance further into solar, battery and green hydrogen. Our interactive map features our operational and consented schemes, and those currently in planning.
