CWP Energy provides valuable work placements for college students and creates job opportunities in our host communities.
CWP Energy’s work placements are designed primarily for engineering students who are pursuing careers in the renewable energy industry, and proudly partner with Ayrshire College and West College Scotland.
Placements at our Head Office provide students with an understanding of the full project life-cycle, development techniques, asset management, and the role engineers play in the design and operation of renewable energy assets.
CWP Energy also has a partnership with The University of Chester, providing one 5-week work placement to a 2nd year geography-focused student each year.
Previous students who have attended our placements have gone on to employment within the industry; some becoming turbine technicians whilst others have taken on taking on project development roles.
Once our renewable energy developments are operational, permanent jobs are often created. CWP Energy’s Senior Operational Managers, working on-site on Scotland’s East and West coast wind farms, are experienced and highly qualified technical experts who ensure the safety of the site and the efficient operation of all infrastructure.
In addition, within our host communities, jobs are created for local people. To date, this has included the employment of an Educational Ranger, a Community Coordinator, and an Energy Assessor.
We are committed to working closely with local communities, landowners, and all stakeholders in relation to our renewable energy developments. If you would like further information or have an enquiry, please get in touch.
